Graduate service gives recruiters’ perspective

graduate recruitment

I really like what Graduate Coach are doing in the field of careers advice for students and graduates.

They are fronted by charismatic and down-to-earth former ad man Chris Davies, who has an impressively determined sense of mission.

Chris isn’t interested in the feted grads of Britain’s most prestigious unis, those that step onto the career ladder without flexing their tendons.

Instead he really wants to help the somewhat ignored, but much larger mass of students who finish uni each year and hit reality hard.

Chris Davies, Graduate Coach

His business is about providing very practical advice and insights to graduate job hunters. He enables the graduate to see the perspective of the employer and understand exactly what they are looking for.

This service has so far been delivered in the form of neat short videos and books – he reports that dwell time on graduatecoach.co.uk is an average 35 minutes, demonstrating deep engagement.

But now he has extended the output and rolled out an in-person, one-day course called ‘How to land your dream job’.

Having met Chris and heard him talk about all the aspects that matter, from personal skills and CV optimisation to interview tricks, I’m certain that any graduate investing a day under his tutelage would find themselves in much better position afterwards.

Take a look at some of Graduate Coach’s videos to get a feel. Chris is full of ideas for Graduate Coach and also warm to collaboration with like-minded people. He also tells me he’s interested in licensing the content on his site, an ever expanding archive that currently stands at 45 videos and over 150 articles. Drop him a line.
