Reach Students is a UK youth and student marketing consultancy. Its headline product is Youth Marketing Strategy, a one day annual conference. We are currently working on a publication for release in 2012. We take on a very limited amount of client consultancy work each year according to workload.

Reach was founded in 2002 by Luke Mitchell, a former content developer at the National Union of Students HQ. Frustrated with a lack of understanding among marketers about student attitudes and interests, and keen to promote a better understanding of the marketplace and its stakeholders, Luke began by publishing a regular newsletter full of advice, resources and research findings. Soon organisations were asking him to advise on their marketing situations and the newsletter evolved into two books, speaker engagements and media articles. However, clients also wanted hands-on campaign management. An agency-style service developed with the involvement of others, and for the majority of Reach's life it has moved from campaign to campaign, working with a broad range of clients from diverse sectors, both direct and via agencies. Focussed on digital marketing approaches, its greatest successes have been in the field of social media marketing where it has helped clients understand how to engage youth and maximise the potential of the media.

In 2010 Reach decided to return to its original passion and re-address the need for quality information about the market. Campaign work was halted and Reach has returned to life as a publisher and monitor of the UK student and youth marketing sector. In June 2011 the first Youth Marketing Strategy conference took place at the University of London, attracting some of the UK's biggest youth brands.
